Lisa Birnbaum
Lisa moved to Houston in 2005 and joined Edna's company shortly thereafter. She had been recruiting with a national search firm, but decided she wanted to be able to put a more personal touch on her recruiting, and has been with Edna Rice since then.
Lisa has worked on and placed a variety of transit and freight railroad management positions including several General Managers, VP of Commuter Rail, Project Managers (Civil, Electrical, and Mechanical), Assistant Director-Maintenance of Equipment, Manager of Contracts & Procurement, Manager of Operating Practices, Project Control Manager, Sales Managers, Rail Engineer, Transportation Planner and Traffic Engineer. She has also worked on several logistics positions in the Chemicals and Oil & Gas industry including a Distribution Manager, Fueling Manager, General Manager-Locomotive Fuels, Transportation Analyst and Customer Service Manager.
Lisa's father was in the military, so she has lived in all parts of the country and in Germany, but she is happy to call Houston, Texas her home now. Lisa and her family built their home right along the Union Pacific mainline at the Mulberry Switching Station! She has a husband, a daughter age 17, and a son age 16. No word on hers and her husband's ages! Lisa received her B.S. from LSU and her MBA from Loyola University. Lisa had the pleasure of having the New Orleans Public Belt Railroad as a client when she lived in New Orleans, so she already knew how great railroad employees were to work with. She loves specializing in the railroad/transportation niche!

Lynne Keenan
Lynne was born in England (of Scottish parents), but grew up in Zambia, Central Africa. She has an Economics Degree with Honors from Nottingham Trent University, England and worked as a Cost Engineer in the Engineering and Construction Industry in London and San Francisco before joining Edna A. Rice, Executive Recruiters, Inc. in 2004.
Lynne considers herself fortunate to have experienced living in many different parts of the world including Africa, England, Australia, California, Tennessee and now Houston, Texas. She is married to a Civil Engineer & has a son in college in NC and a daughter who graduated from UNC in 2008.
Lynne enjoys traveling to the various rail conferences and trade shows, meeting people and learning as much as possible about our industry. She handles recruiting assignments for the Railcar Leasing markets and the Locomotive engineering design, rebuild, maintenance and sales industries.

Andrew Stahl
Andrew grew up on a small farm outside Springfield, Oregon. After starting college under a music scholarship (violin performance), Andrew gravitated to economics, earning a B.S. (with honors) and later a Master's Degree from the University of Oregon. While a graduate student, he studied rail industry issues concerning market power effects, merger synergies, captured shipper rates, and marginal cost estimations of individual railway movements. Andrew's Masters paper was comprised of an historical, operational, funding and demand analysis of the national rail passenger network, Amtrak.
Following graduate school, Andrew moved to California's Bay Area. Charged with overseeing the structuring and listing of derivative instruments for a financial exchange, his services later called for a move to Chicago, Illinois, hub of the futures and options business.
Having also worked for a time within the automobile industry, Andrew continues his interest in all things automotive, with particular passions for racing, collecting and refurbishment. Other personal pursuits include exercise and physical fitness, music, film, military history, motorcycles and long road trips.
Andrew brings great focus into his recruiting endeavors, and with honesty and integrity, ties together the aspirations of both client and candidate.

Shristi Shrestha
Shristi has served in the rail industry since the summer of 2004 and has a thorough understanding of the wants and needs of both candidates and hiring companies. Her broad knowledge in the transportation, healthcare and education industries helps her consult with companies and candidates regarding their strategic planning.
She is working on a variety of job opportunities for railroads, rail car repair and locomotive maintenance facilities along with manufacturing, leasing and chemical companies. She will continue to attend many of the transportation meetings to stay updated regarding new trends in the industry.
Having lived in different areas of the world such as Nepal, Lafayette Louisiana, Austin and Houston Texas, Shristi enjoys traveling, feasting on world cuisine and staying highly involved with various non-profit organizations. She currently serves as the President of Transportation Club of Houston and is Treasurer of Rotaract of River Oaks.
Shristi, a current MBA/MHA student at the University of Houston-Clearlake and a graduate from the University of Texas in Austin, holds a BS in Corporate Communications.
